Directions to Arcadia, Florida

From Orlando: Approximately 2 hours

  1. I-4 West to 27 South to Avon Park-
  2. Turn right 17/64 West approximately 20 miles
  3. Then at fork in road keep Left on 64 to Zolfo Springs
  4. Cross over Hwy 17 to Ona -
  5. At Flashing Light turn left County road 663 (road sign will change to 661 approximately half way down but you are still on the right road).
  6. Canoe Safari will be approximately 21 miles from flashing light on the left side of road. 

From South Florida (Miami): Approximately 3 to 3 1/2 hours

  1. Take I-95 North to 595 West
  2. To US 27 North to SR 70 West
  3. Go through Arcadia -approximately 2 miles out of town will see large orange and black sign for Canoe Safari across from Peace River Campground. (County Road 661)
  4. Turn right on County Road 661 1/2 mile down second canoe place on the right.

From South Florida: Approximately 3 to 3 1/2 hours

  1. 84 West (Alligator Alley) to I-75 North
  2. To exit 29 Punta Gorda / Arcadia Hwy 17 North
  3. To Arcadia turn left on Hwy. 70 West
  4. Go through Arcadia -approximately 2 miles out of town will see large orange and black sign for Canoe Safari across from Peace River Campground. (County Road 661)
  5. Turn right on County Road 661 1/2 mile down, second canoe place on the right.

From Punta Gorda:

  1. Hwy. 17 North to Arcadia
  2. To Arcadia turn left on Hwy. 70 West
  3. Go through Arcadia -approximately 2 miles out of town will see large orange and black sign for Canoe Safari across from Peace River Campground. (County Road 661)
  4. Turn right on County Road 661 1/2 mile down, second canoe place on the right.

From Tampa, Bradenton: Approximately 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours from Tampa and 1 hour from Bradenton.

  1. I-75 South to Hwy. 70 East Bradenton / Arcadia exit 41
  2. take Hwy. 70 East to Arcadia,
  3. just before Arcadia on left you will see a orange and black Canoe Safari sign and the Peace River Campground,
  4. Turn left on County Road 661 1/2 mile down, second canoe place on the right.

From Sarasota:

  1. Hwy. 72 East to Hwy. 70 West -
  2. Very first right will see orange and black Canoe Safari sign.
  3. Turn right on County Road 661 1/2 mile down, second canoe place on the right.

From Port Charlotte: Approximately 30 minutes from Port Charlotte.

  1. Kings Hwy. 769 North to Hwy. 72 East
  2. Very first right will see orange and black Canoe Safari sign.
  3. Turn right on County Road 661 1/2 mile down, second canoe place on the right.
