There are many good reasons that the Big Bang is not really a good theory of origins. I suggest the following URL’s can give you some insight into this issue. From the Institute for Creation Research:

And from Answers in Genesis the following URL’s contain good information about this subject:

The basic underlying assumption that fuels Big Bang cosmology is not rooted in reality. It is an assumption based upon a purely naturalistic and materialistic view of reality. They have to come up with an explanation that explains how everything we see in our universe today came into existence without any supernatural influence at all and the Big Bang is the best they can do. It postulates a never ending expansion and contraction of all matter. Where that matter came from in the first place is totally ignored by these theorists. The only question they propose to answer is ‘how’ the universe got to the stage it is in today.
Remember that science is about observation and since no one was really there to observe what happened ‘in the beginning’ they are all speculating about it without any real evidence. As Bible believing people, we do have an account of what happened in the beginning. It is recorded in the Book of Genesis and the clearly tells us “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth,” Gen. 1:1. This is an accurate account via divine inspiration. The writer is presumed to be Moses and the Holy Spirit is revealing to him what happened in the beginning. Everything we have discovered in science confirms that revelation of Scripture. Nothing has been discovered that in any way truly contradicts the revelation as recorded in Genesis.
Every living thing on this planet has been genetically pre-programmed by the Creator, the pre-incarnate Living Word of God, John 1:1; Col. 1:16, Messiah Jesus, God the Son, to reproduce via the DNA molecule according to its own kind. That means that the formula for life has been imprinted on every living thing and all life is designed to reproduce itself. What do we see in the world when we observe reality? Exactly what God said in Genesis, everything reproduces itself according to this preprogrammed blueprint in the DNA molecule.
