Job Title: Data Entry Clerk/Receptionist

SUMMARY
To serve & honor the Lord in assisting the ministry while working closely with the staff and Executive Director towards the educating, training and discipling of future Christian leaders. We are looking for a dedicated receptionist to handle client-facing duties as well as general office management tasks. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a love for Christ to accomplish the goal of reaching the world with the truths of creation and the gospel.

Office Responsibilities:
• Greets visitors in person or on the telephone
• Answers inquiries regarding products or services of the ministry
• Answers telephone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate person
• Schedules, reschedule and cancel appointments
• Assists in making travel arrangements and booking speaking engagements
• Responds to emails and office correspondence
• Performs data entry and filing activities
• Retrieves documents, records, and reports in our database system
• Opens, sorts, and batches incoming mail
• Basic editing for communications, presentations and other documents
• Manages inventory of office supplies and bookstore
• Verifies and keeps record on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipping

Qualifications:
1. Be an active and good standing member of an evangelical Church.
2. Agree with CSI’s Statement of Faith.
3. Have a serving heart for ministry outreach
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
1. Be a self-starter, and willing to maintain confidentiality relating to all aspects of the ministry.
2. Possess an ability to communicate at higher levels through both verbal and written skills, while displaying prudent judgment when communicating with others.
3. Experienced in Microsoft Office which includes Word, Excel, Publisher and Power Point. Also, have a familiarity with database systems.
4. Should be able to relate personally and socially to many different sectors of the ministry.
5. Possess the ability to be flexible to be able to work in various types of environment and have a sincere interest in Creation Studies.
6. Have the ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a detailed way.


Preferred Education and Experience 1. Associate’s degree or one year of related experience.

 

Job Title: Teacher Assistant

Description:
This position fulfills the CSI educational outreach in which committed individuals who will be entrusted with students K-12 will teach creation (science) topics from a biblical view point. They will make the vital connection between God's Word and what God has revealed in His creation with the realization that they are not in conflict, but perfectly in harmony to demonstrate God’s Glory. They are responsible for preparing and implementing lesson plans that will honor our Creator. Teachers will provide knowledge and enhance the development of Christ-like character.

Responsibilities:
• Passionate for Christ and His Creation with an ability to reach out to students.
• Organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process.
• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning.
• Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
• Maintain a tidy and orderly teaching area.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
• Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.

Minimum Requirements
• Proven experience as a teacher
• Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the CSI policies and procedures
• Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills
• Well-organized and committed
• Creative and energetic
• Strong moral values and discipline
• Degree in teaching or in a specialized subject with a certificate in education or proven experience over 5 years
