Reptiles Rock Animal Shows

Reptiles Rock!!
Animal Shows that come to you.

Reptiles are truly radical! And so is our new traveling reptile show taught by animal educator Steve Lachonas.

Our new show, "Reptiles Rock" is different from other reptile shows. Why? Like most animal shows, we have the fun, education and interaction with the audience. But what makes our show different is that we talk about these animals from a “Creation” perspective.

How does this work? We just don’t stop at the Biology, we connect it to Creation, their Creator and why kids are more radical than the animals they see!

Shows come with 7-9 animals and lasts between 45-60 minutes. Perfect for school assemblies, chapel, church services, special events or camps.

Creatures in the Classroom

Creatures in the Classroom
Animal programs that come to you!

Are you a teacher, church or homeschool group looking to go beyond the pictures in your biology textbook? Why not ad live animals to your lesson?

Creatures in the classroom is a unique, 45-50 minute hands on presentation where we bring three live animals to your classroom to enhance what your kids are already learning. There is a lot of flexibility here. We can bring these animals in and the kids can tell me what they know. Or we can bring in data sheets for a more detailed investigation, or both. This program is designed to be flexible and to work with the unique needs of your class, curriculum and grade level.

The following Creatures in the classroom themes are now available to add to your lesson:

1. Reptiles          2. Amphibians          3. Arachnids

Included in the lesson:

  •  3 animals
  •  Data sheets for each and a microscope activity (if applicable)
  •  A fun interactive game or skit (when applicable)
  •  Touchable "bio-facts" (skulls, feathers, and skin)
  •  End of class devotion
  • Class photo (optional)

Creation Discovery Museum | MAP
2701 W. Cypress Creek Rd. Ft. Lauderdale, Fl 33309

CSI is pleased to offer a college preparatory biology lab for high school students. The course provides the student with a strong background in biology using a Creationist perspective. Students will acquire laboratory experience covering microscopic techniques, several dissections introducing comparative anatomy and a variety of other biological investigations. Through identifying and understanding how different systems work across groups of organisms, the students will observe and discover the imprint of a Divine Designer in his Creation.

All six classes must be completed for a certificate of completion. The program will provide 30 hours of college preparatory biology lab. There will be a $25.00 Lab book fee which will be provided in the first class. Each student must bring his/her lab book to each class for the remainder of the program. The course will be taught by Mrs. Joanne Rabolli and Dr. Scott McOwen, Veterinarian.

Semester: Topics 2016-2017

Microscope Lab: September 9, 2016
We will investigate the invisible creatures of the Monera & Protista Kingdoms under the microscope. We will also learn how to make slides and use the microscope.

Invertebrate Study: October 14, 2016
We will dissect the worm, grasshopper, starfish, and crayfish to understand God’s spineless creatures.

The Fishes of the Sea and Birds of the Air: November 11, 2016
Created on Day 5 of the Creation Week are the perch and the dogfish, which is a cartilaginous shark. We will also explore birds, how they are able to fly and how they could not have evolved from reptiles (dinosaurs).

Amphibians vs Reptiles: January 13, 2017
What’s the difference? We will dissect the frog and make observations of the functions of the anatomy of the snake. We will compare amphibians versus reptiles to see how they did not evolve from one to the other either.

Internal Structures: February 10, 2017
We will take a close look at the eye, heart, and kidney. We will observe how God designed each with highly specialized functions.

Fetal Pig Lab: March 10, 2017
We will look in detail at the design of the body systems as a functioning unit. We will analyze how all the systems had to work together perfectly from the very first time, leaving no possibility for the development of each system separately over time.

CSI's After School Program (ASP) are filled with interactive activities that will make science exciting. The program gives parents the opportunity to encourage their children to think, as they engage in the exciting hands-on activities, watch spectacular demonstrations, participate in inquiry-based discussions, and more.

Your child will be filled with knowledge and learn to appreciate science as they discover facts of God’s Creation. No extra work to take home, only something special to remember God as our Creator!

The ASP runs concurrently with the local school calendar. There are four quarters which align with the grading periods of your local school. We meet once a week on Thursdays.

At Creation Studies Institute we teach the truth of our origins from a creationist’s perspective by, “simply sharing with young and old, God’s wondrous works.”
